It may be time for Carmelo to move on... |
Carmelo Anthony confirmed after the Nugget's season-opening win Wednesday night, against the Jazz, that he still does not plan on signing the contract extension that is worth 65 million dollars. It is obvious that it is not about the money, but the goal every NBA player strives for; a championship. People may speculate and believe Carmelo will stay with the Nuggets and be a faithful player for the organization and the fans, but it seems obvious he has other plans. The extension has been on the table for months, yet nothing has been done on Melo's end creating some major worry the Nuggets. Carmelo has mentioned that his desire to change teams is not because of the new GM, the team president, or the players, but he honestly feels it is just time for him to head in a different direction. The New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, as well as the Chicago Bulls all seem to be teams Melo is considering and will only be a matter of time before he makes his final move. On ESPN radio, Carmelo mentioned that he always wants to keep his options open, and still taking his time to see what his future will entail. If Anthony stays with the Nuggets for the 2010-2011 season, he would be the main option in the 2011 free-agent class hands down. In the meantime, Carmelo Anthony is still a Denver Nugget and has until the February deadline to see which options are available if he plans to change teams this season. Regardless the situation, it will be interesting to see what Carmelo's final decision is and if he will finally win his first NBA championship.
I have read a few of your articles now and have noticed many grammatical errors. Plus this quickdraw guy is just weird.
